Summer 2013

Where did our summer go.....
Sunshine went to summer camp at Parkview Christian Childcare. He got to catch up with some of his old buddies from years past. The summer camper put on a play" The Wiz of oz." Combination between The Wiz and The Wizard of Oz.  Sunshine was an munchan. He was so cute. He also had a solo dancing part in the play. Boy can that kid dance. He made his dad and I so proud.
Dad started a new job. He now works at Tram. We had to make some adjustments with our scheldule but we worked it all out.
Our summer vacation this year was to Destin Florida. We stayed in a condo right on the beach with Christy and her family.We had a awesome time and made lots of memories.
on August 13,2013 Sunshine started 1st Grade. We are so proud of our little guy and can't wait to see what all he learns this year.

Mother's Day

Happy Mothers Day.
I prayed for so long God would make me a mother, I am so glad he did and save the best little boy for me.
K and C gave me amzing grace cologne, purity face wash, coffee beans, and made me the most beautiful flower garden on the front porch i have ever seen that came with 2 solor lights a flower and a butterfly.C made me a handprint flower at school that brought a tear to my eye. I don't ever want to forget that chubby little hand of his.
I do miss my mom especially on days like today. She would of been a great grandma to C and I miss her seeing me be a mom. I hope I make her proud and that I am living up to everything her and Dad wished for my life. Now that I am older I see all the sacrifices they made for me. I am truly thankful from the bottom of my heart.

Other things going on... C got in trouble 2 days this week for saying Damn-it .We are working on different words he and his dad can use in place of that one. C got cut today by Tylers dog on the ear. They were playing and the dog(Kisha) sratched C's ear. I am not sure if it needs stitches. For now We are going to wait it out and see. On Thursday the court took Papa's driving liscence away. They said he is no longer mentally able to drive. It broke my heart but I am so glad we do not have to worry about him driving anymore. I hope when I am 80 I do not have dementia. My heart breaks to see him like this, but I am so glad he is still here for us to be around even if there are difficult days.

week of April 15th-21st

Tragic week..... Mon started off with Kenneth going to Ft Worth to get some friend therapy. He spent the day fishing and catching up with some of his long time friends.Monday was the Boston Marathon. During the marathon there was 2 bombings which killed 3 people and injury many. They are saying it was another terroist attack. On Wednesday there was a fertilizer plant explosion in West. This explosion killed 15 people. 14 were firefighters. over 70 people loss their home. It totally destroyed an apartment and an nursing home and changed many many lives forever. My heart aches for all the sadness in the world today. Thank you Lord for being the same today as you were yesterday. The week ended with a big celebration for our family. It was Papa's 80th birthday. We celebrated by going out to eat at Cotton Patch and then going back to their house for Ice cream cake. Happy Happy Birthday Papa we love you very much.

Week of April 8th-14th

One roller-coster week. Monday started off with my Dad's birthday. He was 68. I  miss him so much. I hope (know) he had a wonderful day.I hope Fishing was involved and lots of cake. Wednesday- This was a day I will remember for a lifetime. Tyler had his Signing day today at his school. Him and 2 other Seniors sign with their colleges today. They did it in the school gym with all the family and the highschool present. It was just as I had imagine it. I never thought I would be apart of somthing like that. Afterwards they had a receptions for the families in the library. They had made cupcakes with their school color for the iceing. It was so thoughtful. Another big thing is Kenneth hit some numbers on the lottery which meant we are 600.00 richer. Woo-hoo.Friday Christy and surgery. They fixed one of her valves in her heart that was not working properly. It made for a long day. All went well and they were able to repair everything and she is good as new.(well, almost) Saturday was Tyler's Senior prom. We took lots of pictures. He wore a teal bule shirt, hot pink bow tie, black suite and teal and hot pink sneakers. I have to say this was the best he ever looked going to prom. He had a great time. His date was just a friend and she won Prom queen. Tyler also won a laptop at the after prom party that he desperately needed for college. Yeah Tyler. So, all and all a roller coster week.

Week of April 1st -7th

This week was a great week. On Wednesday we celebrated Dads birthday. He turned 58. We gave him a Texas Ranger t-shirt and matching hats for Dad and Chanze.We gave him a 100.00 gift card and a new butterfly windsock for the front porch. His friend Kim took Him to lunch at Rusty Star and Chanze and I took Him for supper at Catfish King. We came home and ate Pineapple upside down cake for dessert.On Sunday the Family met at Mema and Papa's for a family party . We had Mema's chocholate pies. I hope Dad felt loved and Blessed because we are to have him in our life.
Chanze told His dad and I that when he grows up he wants to marry Rupunzel because he wants to kiss her. When we asked him how old he thinks he will be when he is all growed up he said "12". To cute

Week of March 25th-March31st

The week started out with a day out of school for Chanze. It was 3rd Semester parent-teacher conferences. Our went great. Things Chanze is still needing work on is the difference between Author and Illustrator, a few site words and working independently. All in all it was a great meeting. Chanze is right on scheldule to be ready to move on to First grade. That night we had a fundraiser at Chick-fil-la for his school. Got to visit with some parents while Chanze played with his classmates on the playground. Tuesday was Kenneth last day of work with fisher-price. Kim and Kenneth ended there day with a lunch at Red lobster. They worked together for 5 years and have become very close. I know their friendship will continue. Thursday Chanze's school had thier Easter egg hunt at school. Kenneth was able to be their with him and take pictures. He also went with bunny ears on that the parents just loved, even Chanze liked them. I am sure in just a few more years that will be totally embarrassing to him and I am sure Kenneth will still wear them.
Sunday was Easter we celebrated that Jesus was risen. We spent the day with family at Mema and Papa's. The kids hunted eggs and Tyler found the golden egg. Chanze was devastated because he knew he was going to find it this year. Next year may be his turn. Afterwards we all went and took Bluebonetts pictures. This was overall one great week.

Week of March 18th-24th

Not a whole lot went on this. It was all in preparations for the big Birthday party day on Sunday. One funny saying Sunshine said this week was Mrs Franks(the principle) birthday was today, now she is 6 like me. I bet she wish she was still 6. On Sunday we celebrated Sunshine 6 bithday with his big birthday party. We had to wait so long because of Spring Break fallen around  his birthday. We had his party at Jumpin Place and his theme was Thomas the Train. He got to invite his classmates and our friends and family. He had a wonderful time. He had over 20 guest come and he got alot of presents. We had pizza and cake, but the cake made Sunshine want to throw up( to much iceing). Next year I think we will just do a Cookie cake. I made train cookies with a number 6 on them and we put them in a bag with a picture of Sunshine by the train tracks. We wrote" Thanks for Coming, Chanze" on the back  they were a big hit.
Well, that ends Sunshine birthday celebrations I hope he has a great year being 6. See you at 7, but you don't have to grow up quite so fast.

Week of March 11th-17th

This week was Spring Break. We had a blast. We didn't go anywhere, had us a staycation. It was so nice. I was off Mon-Wed and Dad keep Sunshine Thurs and Fri. We slept in, stayed up late, and ate whenever we wanted. No schedule here. Monday started with a playdate. We meet Karin and his mom at the Mayborn Museum afterwards we went to the dentist where for the first time Chanze let them clean his teeth. He has no cavities. He was such a big boy, we let his dad go back with him and they did a great job. Afterwards we celebrated with a trip to walmart to spend some of his birthday money. Tuesday started with no real plans, took a trip to the park and got some pictures taken by the railroad tracks and train bridge we can use for his birthday pictures.  Wed started we a trip to the doctore for me where I found out a now have to take bllod pressure medicine. Something I said I would not let my self get to a point where that was needed. Time for a lifestyle change and a recheckup in 3 months. Afterwards Kenneth,Chanze, and I pack a linch a headed for the park. We had a picnic and played for hours. Great day! Thurs I went back to work. Chanze and Kenneth played at 3 parks and on Friday they came and had a picnic we me at my work for lunch. All and all we had a great spring break.

Week of March 4-10

This week started off with a funny quote from Sunshine. At the supper table he told us that at P.E. today, his shoes were faster that another kids shoes. We thought that was so cute referring to the shoes being fast.
Wednesday was my baby's 6th Bithday. I can not believe he is already 2 hands.(6 fingers being on 2 hands).I want my baby to know that your 'Birthday' was the happpiest day of my life. Dad and I meet you at school for a class party. We had a cookie cake with a train on it. All of your Kindergarten friends sang Happy Birthday to you and they then shared your cookie cake with you. After your party we came home and made your favorite supper, Spaghetti. Thursday after school we had a funraiser at Chuck-E -Cheese.
Everyone from Rapoport north came out to eat and 15% of the proceeds went toward our school. On Sunday we have a special family birthday party at Mema and Papas. Sunshine and I made a homemade cake with sprinkles and 2 of his hotwells cars on it. I have to say, It was one of my favorite cakes I have ever had. Tyler also returned from his cruise on Sunday, Thank you lord for keeping him safe.

6 years old

My baby is 6 today. I can not believe it. He has grown into such a lillte boy. Everyday he amazes me. God has given him such a wonderful personality. Always smiling, everyone's friend, and always eager to please and be your big helper. I can't wait to see what kind of man he grows up to be, but please slow the years down, mamma needs her baby to stay little for awhile longer.

Week of Feb.25-March 3 2013
This week started off with Chanze wanting "submarine glasses" That is what he calls goggles. I thought that was so cute and he looks adorable in the bathtub wearing them too. At school they are learning about gardening, so on the way home he asked me if we could grow a garden. I told him we could and to be thinking of what he wanted to grow. He thought about it for a few minutes and decided he wanted to grow apples, bannanas, and chicken fried steak. He loves chicken fried steak. The big news was on Friday Chanze recieved and award at school. He was Student of the Month for Feburary. We couldn't belive it. His Dad went up there and took pictures of him. It was a big surprise for him to win, and to have his Dad there also. He had such a rough start to this school year I would never of thought by Feburary he would be Student of the Month. Yeah Chanze! Mom and Dad are so proud of you.
Tyler received his acceptance letter in the mail on Friday. He is officially going to Hardin Simmons.He also set sail on a 7 day cruise today with his girlfriends family. I pray God will keep him safe, they have a good time, and they return quickly.

Week of Feb.18-24 2013

Another week has gone by. Monday started with Tyler committing to Hardin-Simmons University to play football and go to college. I can't believe it. He wants to be a physical therapist. I am so proud of the man he has turned out to be. Wednesday school called because Chanze got sick at lunchtime. They had cream of chicken soup on the chicken and strawberries in juice and the school thought that made him sick. He made it through the rest of the day , but we keeped him home Thursday. Friday he went to school, Dad dropped him off at 7:45 and at 7:47 they were calling me to tell me he threw up in the lunch room. They thought it was because he saw the cinnimom rolls they were having but they weren't sure. Dad picked him up and they spent the day together. I picked Chanze up some new tennis shoes and the first thing he did was try them on to see if he could run faster, and sure enough he could so the shoes were a winner.Saturday Chanze got a hair cut which he so desperately needed. While we were waiting for our turn he pointing out a older boy(propablly in highschool)and his Mom, when they went back the mom told the lady what kind of cut she wanted for her son then went back and sat down. Chanze told me thats what he wanted me to do. WHAT! you don't want me to stand over you while you get your hair cut! So that is what I did. I sat where I could see him the whole time and he did great. Peeking at me everyonce in a while and giving me a thumbs-up. He is turning into such a big boy. His new thing to say this week is Dadnumit and clacking-lacking. He learnes both of these from watching Madagascar. He sounds so cute when he says these.
